Can't I get the Turmeric powder and mix it with black pepper to make a tea instead of purchasing the capsules, which don't have pepper?

I suppose you could but don't know how tasty it would be. I use tumeric quite a bit in my cooking and add lots of black pepper.

Here are some caps with the black pepper. I usually use one of these products.

** What I forgot to ask if is you could get the same benefits from the powder compared to a capsule. Turmeric from a grocery store, pure turmeric.


Here is how I make it.
Green Tea
Stevia
1/2 tsp Turmeric powder
Dash of black pepper
Dash of cyan pepper.

Mix and seep for 10-15 min.

Also,
Couldn't I just make caps with Powder and Pepper myself?

I would assume that tumeric from a grocery store would be OK but I would look for an organic source that sells in bulk and you certainly would get a better price over the internet. Folks in India, who inspired all this tumeric research just ate plan old tumeric, and lots of it.
But in research they have been using tumeric that has been concentrated to specific guidelines in the studies, to make sure that that are comparing apples to apples. Cucurmin and tumeric are the same thing.
