Well there really are quite a few things and it depends on exactly where the infection is.
Are you saying the infection is in all these areas at one time?

For ear infection many people like colloidal silver. they wash their inner ear with it. I use ozone gas. I also like homeopathy for this and have cured many childhood ear infections with homeopathy.

Lots of people like colloidal silver or throat infection also used as a gargle then swallowed. Vitamin C to bowel tolerance can work also.

Colloidal silver can be used as an eye wash. Neosporin over the counter applied at night time will work also, but alas, it is a drug but works well for pink eye.

Taking 2 to 3 grams of vitamin c and 5 to 10,000 iu of vitamin D3 a day will do much to help prevent infection. Mostly to keep infections away a good diet and general protocols to boost the immune system are required on a daily basis. Hormonal levels must be good.
Thyroid up to speed. Exercise to reduce stress. Thats quite a bit, in a nutshell.

I'm big on echinacea for ear, nose, and throat infections and inflammation.

I'm curious about the gargle and swallow. When I was "oil pulling" with EVCO, I was always under the impression to spit all of it out afterwards, and cleanse the mouth, as not to swallow and place bad bacteria into the system.

If you gargle with colloidal silver it kills the bacteria and even any microbes that may be inside of those bacteria. So it makes no difference if you swallow or not. Acutally, the silver that is still available will go on to do its work elsewhere. Just like when you eat dead bacteria after picking a product or cooking meat.

I am not a big fan of oil pulling. I read about it but unless you use coconut oil I don't see how it can do much good.

Dang, kind2creatures, I did not edit your post. I hit the wrong button again. Too many buttons around for this simple mind. As a moderator I have things on my screen I probably shouldn't be allowed near.

Thanks for the reply Arrowwind09! The only thing I ever did use was extra virgin cold-pressed coconut oil. Tried it with extra virgin olive oil, and the gag reflex way waaay tooo much!

I agree about colloidal silver - my husband and I have been using it now for over a year for stuff exactly like that. We started on it when my husband had a chest infection that conventional treatments were not resolving. It worked beautifully and we've both had success with it for scratchy throats and any other sort of inflammation.

My husband uses it in a nasal spray bottle to alleviate his chronic congestion. I love how he snores a lot less!

From the research I've done on it, colloidal silver was used heavily by the medical profession around the world to treat infection until the pharmaceutical companies invented antibiotics. Antibiotics kill both bad bugs and "good" bacteria in the body, which is not healthy in the long run. Colloidal silver on the other hand, only nukes the bad stuff.

Research it and try it for yourself!

Cheers,
BB

NAC (n-acetyl-l-cysteine) is a great powerful immune support supplement to maintain good health in all the above. It's known as an immune healer. Used on a regular bases it can shield you from reoccurring infections.

Last year I was getting chronic throat infections, maybe strep throat, and it would clear temporarily every time I took collodial silver. It finally cleared up completely after I took MMS.

Collodial silver worked very quickly on an ear infection I had, and fairly quickly on an eye infection.

I've also used it diluted with water as a nose wash.

It will also knock out a cold for me if I take it right when my throat feels itchy or starts to hurt, signalling a cold coming on. My throat will go from hurting a little to nothing quite quickly.

I hate how it's gone up so much in price since everyone discovered how amazing it is, though I'm glad everyone has discovered it.

The best way to prevent infections (especially common reoccurring such as ear/eye/nose/throat) is getting your immune system healthy.

A healthy immune system will easily ward off most infections.

Better eating habits, exercise for body oxidation, and supplementation of the common lacking nutrients will provide the best shield for resistance..

Indeed.
If we do a quick Google Scholar search we find
Iodine "Immune function" returns 8,940 results
Magnesium "immune function" Results about 9,600
"vitamin d" "immune function" about 7,460
"Omega 3" "Immune Function" Results about 4,750
"Vitamin C" "Immune Function" Results about 8,420

So ensuring you have good sources of the basic essentials for a healthy immune function requires you to be able to account for your IODINE intake.

Do you know where your magnesium is coming from?

Are you certain your vitamin D status as measured by a 25(OH)D test is above 55ng and can you account for a total intake from all sources of over 5000iu/d

The vitamin C foundation

A good place to learn what actually constitutes healthy eating is Whole Health Source where science based examination of current medical health eating advice shows given rigorous scrutiny current "official" advice is highly suspect.
