That's an informative and short article. I've been interested in why so many people consider juicing so important.

Juicing eliminates fiber. Vegetable juicing is probably very healthy, if done in moderation. However fruit juicing, in my opinion, should not be done at all. Eliminating fiber and keeping fructose is a problem for weight gain (belly fat) and insulin imbalance. Even considering the addition of a fruit with vegetables is not a good idea at all. There would be no fibers left from the juicing.

Bacteria use glucose as their nutritional fuel. They produce enzymes to break down fiber, both soluble and insoluble, to access the glucose. Therefore whole fruits and whole vegetables are beneficial to your health.

I never did juicing, but what you say makes sense, better to eat the veggies than drink them. Probably just more convenient for people to drink their servings as opposed to eating them.
