Default Health - most important thing is decision

In health I believe the most important thing you can do is decide to be healthy. I failed to do this for 17 years with allergies trying various things and the allergies always came back (shots, natural remedies, unnatural remedies, etc). But as soon as I decided to be healthy I started doing the right things. I'm still recovering but I can breathe easier today and I want to keep going until I'm free of allergies.
I think some people forget the importance of deciding to be healthy. We are more then what we put in our body. We have a mind and it can be the most powerful thing of all.

Good point! And welcome!

You almost NEED to deprogram from daily negativity anymore. This actually can be done by repeating uplifting and positive things about yourself. It works!

If you can CHOOSE to be positive, you certainly can DECIDE to adhere to living a healthy lifestyle.

I totally agree, and if you really look at it, one's own completely self-determined decision to improve health is key. We get so bombarded with the "you should do this" or "this is what you should do to be healthy" that it's easy to lose sight of the fact that it's our very own responsibility and our own self determined decision that will help us improve our health.

That was the first thing I personally realized several years ago. Since then I've made significant progress in improving my health and I continue to do so. It's actually rather pleasant now instead of me feeling like I "have to" or I "should."

I wrote an article a few years ago about the steps I found necessary to improve my health - and this is the first one!

Thats a great article. Lately I simply have been repeating in my head, Health Health Health, reminding me of where I'm trying to get to. And its been working (a long with releasing negativity). In addition I take a super tea with oregano and ginger root 3 times a day and also take a pill called NAC. I also try to avoid foods that are packaged in plastic because of the negative health effects of plastic. I got an excellent little mini-book on health called "Heal Your Body" by Louise L. Hay. In it she describes the power of making better decisions in the present moment. Its amazing that most people don't even know about this, and a little frustrating that I took tons of medications that had very bad effects on my health and well-being (Singulair for example). Just want to spread the word. I really hope the health system in America today is drastically changed around. A lot of people are suffering with bad health and take medications that don't help them or only temporarily help them. I don't have anything against medication in certain scenarios but it is largely abused in America today!

Hey Brian,

Congratulations on your health improvement actions I can totally relate to your situation.

I found that the biggest thing I needed to handle in my life in order to improve my health was stress first. Too much negative stress practically nullifies any other health improvement activities!

Good going!
