Default Ear Cleaning the natural and safe way

By no means the worst thing in the world. But I really do have to clean my ears out rather regularly. I grew up like it to be honest although as I got older I became even more aware of it.

Unfortunately I did not do the best thing and used Cotton Tips to clear them out. Even then in between cleaning days I get itching from excess wax. I got to using on really rough days Cotton tips with a little natural prgainc liquid soap. Although I do not reccomend this at all to anyone.

So I was wondering. Given my ear gunk predicament. I would like to give them a really good clean out in a safe and natural way. What do you guys use or reccomend? I was told olive oil is good for example. And liekyl to clear up my ears for a good few days.

Colloidal silver is great for cleaning ears, and also eliminates itch.

Hydrogen peroxide would be my second choice.

I would do the hydrogen peroxide first. Then follow up with colloidal silver to cut back even more on micro-organisms.

You can put the hydrogen peroxide, regular 3% from the pharmacy in and let it bubble until it stops. You can do this 2 or 3 times a day. Some people need to do it for several days in a row.

What if you dipped the cotton swabs into hydrogen pyroxide?

I get alot of earwx also. Especially after a long day of work when I have my headphones on all day. Do you just pour it directly into your ear? That seems like it would cause more harm than help it.

I think I will do this. Thank you very much. I don't feel it is anythng serious or sinister by any means.

But CarlMason asks a good question. How do we apply it best? And in what qunatity? I would have thought a pippette or something if I can find one from somewhere.

And Carl, no, absoloutely do not stick a cotton tip in your ears. This is why I have decided to do this and clear up in a better more efficent way. I have been cleaning them that way for years but it was not always very successful.

And finally early this year I got a cotton tip that came off and got stuck in my ear. I had a trip to casualty which could not help as it was just out of reach so they sent me to anopther hospital to use special equipment to get it out. It could have been very serious, although I found the whole thing hilarious myself.

Also another tip, the nurese in casualty and the doctor at the other hospital told me they get a lot of people with IPods or ear phones that have to get part of them out as they can come apart. People get bits of metal stuck in their ears. Be sure of the earphones your using at the very least.

I was always afraid to use hydrogen peroxide in my ears. I was under the impression that it could eat a hole in the eardrum. I also read that if you have a perforated eardrum that you're unaware of, it may cause serious damage.

Anyone who has been to a doc should know if you have a hole in the ear drum, there would also be diminished hearing...

Don't make such a big think out of a simple thing and use common sense. I would think that you would even be aware of it from taking a shower or swimming. Many naturopathic doctors have recommended this for years and years.

I make a big thing out of anything out of the ordinary that I'm going to do to my body. I am using common sense by using caution when something is suggested that doesn't sit right with me. My motto is, if you don't feel confident and comfortable doing it, then don't do it. If it's worked for you and your family, great!
