It is good to be skeptical, and I encourage skepticism in general.
At forty nine years old, I am pretty jaded myself. In my case, the choices were an immune suppressing drug, or more untested methods of controlling my disease.
In my mind, suppressing the immune system was going to likely produce a positive effect in the short run. In the long run, it would most likely quit working, as they almost always do, and then I would probably have other autoimmune diseases in addition to Crohn's.
If you think this is rare, hang around some forums for Crohn's for awhile, and see the misery that is going on when you now have Arthritis, Osteoporosis, Pyroderma gangrenosum, Celiac, etc, as a result of using these treatments. In addition to having more feet of your intestine removed, or a colostomy bag or a J-Pouch.
Another treatment I use is Low Dose Naltrexone. There is probably not a safer way to treat bowel disease. It is effective most of the time, and also protects you from Cancer and other autoimmune diseases. Look into it sooner rather than later. This disease does not stop its destructive path, and you do have to treat it by some means.

MMS is not for everyone, and I do not push it one anyone, but it is the single most effective method I have used. No one has ever died as a result of using it, and that cannot be said for many drugs we all have used. I waited until many had used the treatment, before I would try it. I still will not use MMS2 for the same reason. Not enough people have used it to make me comfortable with it. The original works so well, that I really do not need another option.
Use treatment methods that you are comfortable with, but only stick with the ones that work for you. It is always a matter of the risk/benefit ratio.
The risk of the disease is pretty much known. It is not going to go away on its own, and it will cause damage every day it is active. You do have to come up with a way to treat it. It does not have to be my way, as you may find an equally effective method, that I am not aware of. You do have to do something about it.
I certainly would be interested in any method you find particularly effective. We can never have too many good treatment methods.
Good Luck
Dan
