About Us
Natural Medicine Talk (NMT) is a public discussion forum, our members seek and share information for better health in natural ways. With the introduction of various new technologies, healthy diet and lifestyle is becoming increasingly important. According to the latest study done by the Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD), three out of four Americans will be overweight or obese by 2020. We encourage green living, regular exercise, proper diets and healthy lifestyles, and hopefully we can stay healthy while enjoying all the conveniences brought about by advanced technologies in our modern world.

NMT is managed by Kevin P. (founder), along with other admins and moderators. Please feel free to contact us if you have any questions or suggestions regarding our forum.

Our forum is moderated on a daily basis. The moderators and administrators are volunteers. They use the following aliases: Matrix, kind2creatures, jfh, Saved1986 and Cookie.

The moderators and forum members are not regarded as health professionals.

Complementary

The information provided on this forum is designed to support, not replace, the direct relationship between patients and health professionals.

Privacy

We remind you that any message can be read, used, reproduced and cited by all.

You do not have the option to delete your messages. However, under exceptional circumstances, you can contact the moderators to do so. The references you provide for your posts cannot be deleted. Thus, please take care regarding the information that you post.

Messages

The moderators and members should conduct themselves at all times in a respectful and honorable manner.

By using our forums, you agree to post information that is true and correct to the best of your knowledge and is of your personal experience. If the information you post is not personal experience, we ask that you to provide sources (references, links, etc..) whenever possible.

Posting of advertisements in any fashion, including in the form of text links or banners, is strictly prohibited.

The moderators reserve the right to delete any messages deemed inappropriate without notifying the author. In cases of abuse, the moderators reserve the right to ban a member of the forum. In both instances, an explanation will be provided if user requests.

LINK POLICY

Rule of Thumb: Zero Spam Tolerance Policy. If you come here to promote a website, product or service, or you are seeking donations for any cause, you will be banned.
  1. Regardless of the content of the website, self-promotional links are not allowed.
  2. Email addresses, url links, website descriptions or product labels are not permitted as user name, title or location.
  3. Links to any websites that sell products or services are not allowed.
  4. Only links to reputable news, research, government or other informative websites are permitted.
  5. Don't create posts with nothing but a link. If you are going to link to a news article for example, give a summary of it.
  6. If you are a new member, please don't include ANY links in your posts.
  7. All members are asked to use links in a responsible manner.
Any posts breaking the above rules will be removed or edited without prior notification, poster's account may be suspended.

POSTING/SIGNATURE RULES

Solicitation of products or services in any manner by members in this forum is strictly prohibited. Violation of this policy will result in having your account permanently banned. Any and all punitive actions taken in these matters are the responsibility of the Management, and will be enforced solely at the discretion of the Administration and their Moderators.

To stop spammers, we've disabled signatures for new members. As of November 2012, signatures can't be used to promote websites or blogs. No self-promotion is allowed on this board.

Please do not spam by creating senseless posts in order to increase your post count, you'll be wasting your time.

Posting of, or directing others to, personal promotional codes is considered affiliate marketing, and is not permitted on this forum.

PRIVATE MESSAGE

To stop PM spammers, new members must have one post before they can use private message. Please note the system updates the permission every half hour, so it may not be available immediately after you make one post. This only applies to your first post on this forum, after you create one post, PM will always be available.

RULES OF CONDUCT

Posts which are discriminatory, disrespectful, vulgar, harassing, confrontational, offensive, critical or contentious, directed at any of the membership or Administration, will not be permitted. Postings which violate this policy may be removed or edited, and the poster's account may be terminated. Enforcement of this forum's policies is the business and responsibility of the Administration and their Moderators, and will not be discussed or debated with the general membership. Management reserves the right to delete, edit or move any posts or threads in this forum. Modification of forum policies may occur without prior notice. Thank you for your cooperation.

Posting Etiquette
  1. Read the forums rules and guidelines before posting for the first time.
  2. Search the other posts to see if your topic is already covered.
  3. Use a meaningful title for your thread.
  4. Do not use a forum to promote your product, service or business.
  5. Be civil. Personal differences should be handled through email or IM and not through posts displayed to everyone.
  6. Stay on topic.
  7. Ignore spammers, respond to them personally and not through the board, or report them.
  8. Do not submit a post that requires readers to download a large attachment. Either explain the attachment or, better yet, provide a link to the information.
  9. In order to be understood by most people, use correct spelling, grammar and avoid slang unless you know the word or phrase will be understood by other members.

  16. Do not post warez, cracks or illegal downloading of software and similar topics.
  17. Watch your sense of humor, posts may be read by people from a variety of backgrounds and ages.
  18. Do not use a huge and annoying signature.
  19. Do not post any information that you want private. Posts should not contain personal, identifiable information or content embarrassing to others.
  20. Do not post content that violates a copyright.
  21. Write concisely and do not ramble.
  22. Do not post any offensive messages
  23. Do not use words like �urgent� or �important� in your subject line, be patient.
  24. Do not chastise newbies.

Privacy Policy
IP and other technical information
When a visitor requests or reads a page, no more information is collected than is typically collected by web sites. NatMedTalk.com may keep raw logs of such transactions, but these will not be published or used to track legitimate users.

When a registered member creates a new post, the server confidentially stores related IP information.

Cookies
The sites set a temporary session cookie on a visitor's computer whenever a forum page is visited. Readers who do not intend to log in or post may deny this cookie; it will be deleted at the end of the browser's session. More cookies may be set when one logs in to maintain logged-in status. If one saves a user name or password in one's browser, that information will be saved for up to a certain amount of days, and this information will be resent to the server on every visit to a forum page. Members using a public machine who do not wish to show their username to future users of the machine should clear these cookies after use.

Page history
All posts are generally retained forever, under certain circumstances, posts may be removed upon poster's requests, but there is no guarantee any permanent deletion will happen.

User participation
User participation is limited to registered members. Data on user participation, such as the times at which users created or edited posts, are publicly available.

Reading forums
No more information on users and other visitors reading pages is collected than is typically collected in server logs by web sites. Aside from the above raw log data collected for general purposes, page visits do not expose a visitor's identity publicly. Sampled raw log data may include the IP address of any user, but it is not reproduced publicly.
