Question Non Toxic meats!

Dr Al Sears also gave a link - https://www.grasslandbeef.com as a source
for non toxic meats - others besides beef too. Sold in various quantities. My
freezer is too full right now, but I may try some items later.
Definitely not cheap but a bigger selection than at my HFStore.

I use www.uswellnessmeats.com. They are good, and no higher than other grass-fed meat sold online. They have cheese, lamb, chicken, turkey, and some ready made items. They have a big selection, and they run sales. Everything comes frozen and is usually delivered the next day.

Their newsletter is very good, it pays to sign up for it. The people that write the articles know the paleo diet, and the benefits. This is a good place to get information on healthy eating.

If you make a meat sauce or a burger with organic meat, you taste a big difference, if you make soup with organic chicken, you taste a HUGE difference.

Thanks, either a senior moment, or I should have checked it out. The website you have is the one I started using years ago. Now, I go to the one I posted.

At least we are posting a good place for people to find grass-fed meat.

Blanche - So you have been pleased with the meats you have purchased from them?
What are some of your favorites?

I have been happy with just about everything I bought from them. This was what I have tried, the ground beef 75% lean. I like the ground beef with a higher percentage of fat.

I bought the short ribs which are good, but they need to be cooked for a while on the stove top. I also like the dried spicey beef jerky. It is good, but can be on the tough side.

What I liked is the Pemmican honey and cherry free. Others people that have bought this weren't as happy with it.

Also, I tried their beef liver, and I liked that. The chopped lamb is good, and the ground chicken is great.

They have a special $25.00 off a 40lb order, and if you wait for a sale you can save some money. When I order I try to find someone that would share an order. This doesn't always work, but when it does it is a way to try something at a reduced price.

Exclamation grasslands beef

Thanks, Blanche. I was wondering about the liver. Have you ever tried/fixed
Beef Kidney? I don't think I'd know how to fix that.
I'd love to find someone to share an order with, but can't think of anyone
here who's as interested in the pure stuff as I am. I live alone so no one
else here with me to cook/shop for.

I never tried or fixed beef kidney. There must be recipes online to give you an idea on how to prepare this.

The liver was very good, I never tried the chicken livers, they are always out of them.
Where I live there are very few people that are interested in grass-fed meat. It is more expensive, and most people don't see the value in buying it.

The company sells pet burgers, that are less expensive but much higher in fat. Yes, I have tried it, I like the fatty cuts. However, you can't do as much with it as you can with the ground beef.

I don't see how people can stand liver. That is the toxin filter for the body. Think of your furnace air filter. I know the liver cleans itself somehow; but it takes a while.

I wonder if the Hormel's Natural Deli Cuts are non-toxic. They at least don't have sodium nitrite or other preservative. That's what they claim.

Liver from grass fed animals are safe, and packed full of nutrition. Deli cuts would scare me, not chicken or beef liver. If you want to talk toxins, then you can mention processed foods, and soft drinks.

Our food supply is not mean for human consumption, just read the labels.
