Does anyone know a guaranteed way to get rid of skin flaps....what causes them? I have done some research, but nothing definite.....apart from cutting them off!!
I have a few on my neck and I would love to get rid of them. Help!!!

im lost, have no idea
In the other forum, some folks believed that skin tags were caused by colon polyps... from what I remember, where the tag was somehow showed where the polyp was on the colon.... Im not sure how true that is, but I did notice that once I changed my girls diet, took her off processed carbs and the normal known allergy foods, that the couple skin tags that she had on her neck turned black and fell off.....
Someone suggested tying a string around the tag real tight.... wellllll it fell off, but it made a bloody mess Maybe I did something wrong when I did it to me, but I wont do the tying off thing again.... I wonder if iodine or collodial silver would get rid of them

Skin tags/flaps are typically a cosmetic concern only. My understanding is that they are related to sugar (insulin resistance at that part of the skin on your body).

In this case, it would be good to supplement with alpha-lipoic acid (ALA), chromium picolinate (or Brewer's Yeast), and niacin. This would help to prevent them.

To get rid of them, I'd see a dermatologist. Real quick and simple. Some people say that you can get rid of them in 3 or more days by smothering them under a tight bandage or even Duct Tape. Since they are at your neck, which is quite common, you may not want to display duct tape for a few days. Best to see a dermatologist.

I know that there are some mild escharics that will remove them but don't have the time to find the info this morning...

Eureka!!! I have found a pain free solution. Tea Tree Oil. I have been putting it on direct and rubbing it in for 5 days and the flaps are about a fraction of the size. Apparently it takes about 2 weeks to get rid of them completely, but they are definitely disappearing. Great!!!

Mine are shrinking on a daily basis....I cannot believe it. I rub it in about 3 times a day, and they are really drying up and shrinking. I guess they will be gone by next week....freedom at last!!:D:D:D

Just bought some tea tree oil to have on hand..."just in case". I have a few tags and I'm going to try it on them! Thanks for a great tip!

Mine are still shrinking....they sting a bit when I rub the oil in, but that must be because it is working.

Lots of people who do MMS loose their skin tags. It makes me wonder if a virus is involved in them...which tea tree oil certainly could combat also.
MMS also does have some positive effect on diabetes also so maybe there is something to what jhf has to say about insulin resistence in some people.

I think that a virus must be involved. If tea tree oil is working, it seems it must be pathogenic. I also wonder if it is the massage that is more helpful than the oil itself.

I believe that the "resin" in milkweed works as well. That is a latex sap, I think. Some have indicated that the same is true with dandelion stems and some kind of spurge (euphorbia). This could all be due to an escharic effect though; as milkweed does seem to produce that.

MMS is a revolutionary antimicrobial that is ingested. We have a whole sub-forum dedicated to it. Look for it in the Alternative Therapies forum at the bottom of the forums list.
