Friends, you may have trouble believing what I am about to share with you but I am at a loss and am looking for someone who may have the same affliction, know someone who has the same affliction, or has some ideas about it. This may be a little long:
For several years now, always in March or April I suffer an affliction with my feet where it begins, on either foot, with a tender, achy, pain, never in the same spot. It then becomes more painful, will eventually swell, and will move around on the foot. It may begin on the bottom, or it may begin on the top of the foot, or in the ankles, sides, etc. As it moves, that area will become more painful and swelling, and the previous area will subside. This sounds crazy but it really does happen this way.
Sometimes I get this affliction in one foot and it may last a couple of weeks before it goes away. Sometimes it will move to the other foot and do the same thing. I've been dealing with this for about 8-9 years now. Last year it was both feet and I was afflicted for over a month. The year before it was only one foot and it lasted a couple of weeks.
This year, it started with tenderness on the bottom side of my left foot and has now spread to the ankle with some lingering tenderness where it began.
I will not go to a medical doctor because I have learned through experience that Doctors have no idea what is happening. One doctor told me I had severe arthritis and multiple bone spurs. I don't believe this because it only happens in March or April and I have no problem for the rest of the year once it goes away. It is very painful and I don't get alot of sleep.
For those who are thinking gout...it is not!
Each year I watch what I eat trying to take note of any changes. This year I stopped eating fish from December till now and I got all the way to April 22 before it struck. I have no idea how long it will last and if it will go to the other foot. But I know that in just a few days I will not be able to walk, maybe sooner.
I've only been actively involved in natural healing for about 5 years and I fear that I am reaping the results of over 50 years of bad habits but, since I don't know what this affliction is, I don't really know how to fix it. I think it may be some kind of arthritic condition but one that only afflicts for a short time and then leaves. I will be avoiding protein consumption and I will be eating mostly vegetables until this goes away but other than that and taking some natural anti- inflammatories, I just will have to ride it out.
I will be following my own advise regarding green leafy vegetables and other complex carbohydrates. I know that protein agravates arthritis, though this may not be arthritis at all (in the commonly understood joint inflammation sense).
Any help out there?
