Default Do you think fungus might cause moles?

My toddler is developing moles. They started when she was not even one year old. It alarms me. I don't want to chalk it up to genetics if it's something that I can help her with.

Any thoughts???

Many moles most certainly are genetic.
But not all of course. They can be removed if in an unslghtly place... often they are called beauty marks...

Skin tags are viral as well as melanoma.

I agree, in my case I have a lot of moles, and with age they keep on coming. They're in my family, and some of us have had to have them removed because they were in places that were subject to irritation from clothing, shoes, etc. I never thought of them as being caused by a fungus, but it would be interesting to find out that they were.

PS: my mother always called them beauty marks...made them a bit nicer to live with.

Beauty marks do sound much lovelier!

It was a couple years ago that I read that moles are fungus covered in skin. It bothered me because I have a bunch of them then I remembered a school friend who had big ones and many of them. Her house smelled like mold to me. I didn't like playing at her house because of it.

I think it was from earth clinic, not sure but they said putting apple cider vinegar on them would lighten them and eventually remove them.
