Default My Father is suffering from memory loss

Gang,

I am new to this forum and this is officially my first post.
My Father's memory loss is gradually getting worse and we think its a result of his Blood Pressur medicine.

He is 62 yrs old and he has been on cholestoral, blood pressure and thyroid medications for several years now. I am losing patience with the doctors and am ready to join my Father on all of his visits to the doctors.

My Father is walking around on auto-pilot. He does not have the mental strength or the will to research nor ask the doctor the necessary questions to improve his situation. He is also having a tough time comprehending and retaining information........this has really deflated his confidence and motivation to try anything to help this matter.

Has anyone experienced memory loss due to Blood Pressure, cholesterol or thyroid medication?

Thanks.

Ken

Not just memory loss from the above meds... also liver damage and joint/muscle wasting.

Your dad is stuck on the mainstream merry-go-round. I would seriously suggest he see a different doctor, one who will work to get him off these toxic drugs using natural supplements.

As far as his memory issues go, he should be taking blueberry extract as well as other fruit/berry concentrated powders. There is also another product that is helping thousands of people with their memory problems. It is made from jelly fish protein and is called PREVAGEN.

I've seen this product advertised on the tv show Know The Cause, and have read several testimonials that were nothing short of amazing.

Here is a short video on Prevagen:

The bottom line is to change your dads diet and life style in a positive way so that he can get off the meds that are robbing him of his health, providing he isn't too stubborn to accept the changes... good luck.

STATINS (Lipitor, zocor, crestor etc) cause memory loss. get him off those ASAP (it might be a good idea to take halfa pill for a couple days and then just quit that drug all together). Have him take Vit D, fish oil, turmeric and start some exercise. (Give this 2 months to see a real difference)

Ken, at this point I would say that it is uncertain as to what is causing your dads memeory loss... Although these types of drugs can cause problems most often they do not so the verdict is out for the time being.

You need to take your dad to a medical doctor that does alternative medicine that would include IV nutrients or a Naturopathic doctor that does the same... depending on what state you live it will determine if there is a naturopathic doctor around that can help. They are legal and doing IV work in 13 states now. Chiropractors can do IV nutirents legally in Idaho, New Mexico and Okalahoma and they could help you too.

Of course it would be great to get your dad off of those drugs, and depending on how high his blood pressure goes and the results you get from alternative therapies will dictate how successful you are on that one. With the majority of patients the drug can be reduced at least... it depends on the cause and how successful you are at altering it.

Statin drugs are very dangerous and with the correct therapies you should be able to eliminate these... I would get rid of this one even before cause is fixed as you can fix this issue pretty quickly. I am giving you a link to a page on my blog that will tell you how to do it..Take notes, its a lot of reading. This article is divided into 6 parts and you will find a link to the following parts at the end of the page.. Things have changed a little since I posted it and I would not recommend the red rice yeast until diet changes, chelation, vitamin c and coconut oil have been done and have not brought the cholesterol down to at least 230. Contrary to what your doctor says 230 or below is not dangerous... it is a myth to sell pills.

You cannot rule out that your dad is developing Alzheimers or some other type of organic brain syndrome. If this is the case removing him from the drugs will not help much.

There is some pretty good evidence that raw virgin coconut oil can reverse symptoms of Alzheimers disease.. I would start him on it right away... even if he does not have alzheimers disease this supplement will fortify and heal his body in many ways.... I take it myself. https://www.coconutdiet.com/alzheimers.htm
it will also help to lower his cholesterol
https://www.coconutoil.com/cholesterol.htm
https://www.organicfacts.net/organic-oils/organic-coconut-oil/health-benefits-of-coconut-oil.html

Aside from things mentioned in articles I am giving you links to on HealthSalon he should be getting IV vitamin C and the alternative med doc or naturopath can provide this... but the good news is that now there is an oral supplement that provide blood levels of vitamin c without the IV... This will save you lots of money and time and effort.
https://www.healthyitems.com/liposomal-vitamin-C-p/614.16.htm

I also recommend IV chelation therapy, maybe 3 or 4 sessions to get him on his way then find a good oral chelation product to take at home. This will help to clear out his vessels, heal cardiac disease, which he likely has some of even if it has not been diagnosed, and can also help with memory issues by improving vascular flow to the brain.

To this I would add Catapex B from Standard Process.. Do not try to subsitute any other B supplement because they are not created equal.

I recommend that you find a doc who can help you develop a treatment plan. and I will say this, this type of program may cost you several thousand dollars, but in the long run it will save you countless compared to a long term care residence for dementia patients... not to mention having your dad back with you to the level that he is safe on his own and enjoying life again.

I want to Thank Everyone who replied. You have provided incredible information that I can share with my Fathers doctor and hopefully the three of us can work as a team and fix this problem.

Thank You especially to Arrowwind09, saved1986 and pinballdoctor.

Oh yeah.....today I visited my Fathers doctor to get the details on how I can get permission to sit in on his visits. Just basically a note signed by my Father stating all information during his visits are to be disclosed to his son Ken. Something to that effect. Thats the first step.

I will be back with more information soon.

Ken
