Default All newbies please read (regulars can read too)

Hello all my name is Jon and I have been living this lifestyle for 4 months now......

When I started this lifestyle I 336lbs and in the last 4 months of following the meal plans and exercising I have successfully lost 59lbs and i'm at 277lbs.

I have been overweight my whole life and i'm only 23 years old but after my daughter was born I knew I wanted to live a full and healthy life.

So newbies you wonder why I have asked yous to read this.......

I come to this forum a whole bunch and most everyone I have talked to has been supportive and informitive..however day in and day out there are always people starting and everyone asks the same questions over and over..........I'm not trying to be an ass i'm trying to be helpful

1. Read the book and follow the lifestyle regimen (if you customize the lifestyle may keep you out of ketosis.

2. Don't give up cuz you haven't lost any weight. I actually gained 8lbs my 1st week and took another week to start seeing results. It is physically impossible to follow this lifestyle correctly and not lose weight.

3. Water and exercise is just as equally important as eating low carbs (if I stall a week and I up my exercise and water I always start losing again by the next weigh in.)

4. Only weigh yourself once a week and measure your arms, waist, legs, ect before you start cuz even if the weight isn't losing you may be losing inches.

5. DON'T GIVE UP............Yes this lifestyle is hard but it's not supposed to be easy....Most of us ate wrong for 20 plus years but I see people on here everyday wondering why they have'nt lost 20lbs in a month or even 5lbs the 1st week. If you are gonna do this then do it................I honestly only care about my Atkins Lifestyle (which is hard enough) but i'm tired of not seeing the newbies not reading the book and just wanting answers from us here........

Like I said i'm tryin to be helpful and by the way one of the main reasons I started Atkins was because I haven't been able to ride roller coasters for over 5 years and for the 1st time in 5 years I will be going to Six Flags on june 1st so if it's home comin, prom, wedding,or just because you wanna look good in a thong you have found the right lifestyle just give it time and be more independent find out answers on your own.

Thank you Jon

Have fun on that Roller Coaster. I am jealous. (pregnant and can not ride)
You must be excited, I know I would be.

Many hugs,
