I use baking soda dry and apply with a powder puff just like I would when
applying powder. Easy and Cheap!

Years ago when I was desperate to get well I went on the macrobiotic diet. It is a very cleansing way to live. At first I got sick on it because my body was dumping toxins but after being on it for a few months, I began to notice that my sweat had no odor. Also when I went to the bathroom to do my business I noticed reduced odor in the urine and BM's.

I no longer eat that way so now I use Burt's Bee's natural deoderant for men. It has tea tree oil in it which zaps the bacteria. I am a female but this deoderant smells good enough for a girl to wear it too!

Thumbs up Lafes

I've been using Lafes natural/organic deodorant spray with Aloe Vera. Mineral salts eliminate odor-causing bacteria and the Aloe soothes and softens the skin. No Aluminum Chlorhydrate or Alcohol, fragrance free and hypoallergenic. Ozone friendly, non-staining, no animal testing. It works surprisingly well for a natural product.

You could put the soda in a shallow dish and apply with a cosmetic sponge or powder puff!

Default Thai Crystals

We use Thai Crystals in a spray form and add Tunisian Pathcouli oil (about ten drops) to the bottle. It is available at Whole Foods. It must work as the ladies in my office literally come by in the morning to smell me!

I use coconut oil. It absorbs well and quickly. It is antibacterial; so it is a very efficient deodorant. I don't have to worry about metals, preservatives, scents, etc.

Default Alum vs Aluminum

"If an aluminum compound, such as aluminum chlorhydrate or aluminum zirconium, which is very soluble, is used as an antiperspirant, that compound is readily absorbed. Once in the body, the aluminum portion of the molecule ionizes, forming free or radical aluminum (Al+++). This passes freely across cell membranes, and forms a physical plug, that when dissolved is selectively absorbed by the liver, kidney, brain, cartilage and bone marrow. It is this concentration of aluminum that has been the source of concern in the medical community and has prompted the research being done on ALZHEIMER'S DISEASE and BREAST CANCER victims. Potassium alum molecules have a negative ionic charge, making it unable to pass through the cell wall. THEY ARE NOT ABSORBED. This is why these deodorants are safe to use and will not cause high levels of ALUMINUM in your system. ALUM and ALUMINUM are two different substances, with distinct chemical signatures. They possess different chemical properties which create different chemical attributes."

Thanks jfh! I was thinking that it was too oily, and would stain clothes, etc. I'm out of Coconut Oil right now, but I'll try it soon since I also like the smell, and I'll post my experience.

Very creative what you've come up with for deoderant Pinballdoctor, and I'm sure it works perfectly well. I get a natural deoderant from Whole Foods that does not contain anti-persperant as I've read that that is very bad for you. I do not find it that much more expensive and it works well and smells great.

Antiperspirants and deodorants prevent that from happening so what happens to the garbage when it cannot be removed during stressful moments?
It's not taboo here, and has been discussed before. Deodorants that do not act as an anti-perspirant by adding aluminum do not prevent the sweating, and are used to help prevent odor only.

Most of the products out there are an anti-perspirant /deodorant combination, so
go home and check Deodorant is fine, anti-perspirant is not ! Here's why :- The
human body has a few areas that it uses to purge toxins; behind the knees,
behind the ears, groin area, and armpits.

The toxins are purged in the form of perspiration. Anti-perspirant, as the name
clearly indicates, prevents you from perspiring, thereby inhibiting the body
from purging toxins from below the armpits. These toxins do not just magically
disappear. Instead, the body deposits them in the lymph nodes below the arms
since it cannot sweat them out.

Default Deoderants with Antiperspirants

"I think it is an easy conclusion that antiperspirants should be called antiwaste removal if we keep it simple. What do you think?"

I definitely agree with this statement and further believe that anything that stops our body from waste removal is very dangerous as this is the natural progression in our body which allows us to maintain our good health.

Okay, this was worth an experiment
So I started using coconut oil this past weekend under my arms. Normally it's applied after my showers to my arms & legs because it makes me feel like a sexy island girl Lol Thing is I don't often get stinky armpits because showering daily is essential as I'm covered with teenie tiny hairs by the end of the work day. But it still was hard to work up the confidence not to apply deoderant and go to work.
Tomorrow will be day 5... I feel like I'm in a 10 step program to cease my addiction to using deoderant!

Cookie, are you a dog groomer? That's the only time I get covered with tiny (wire) hairs, when I clipper down my two. I'm gonna try the coconut oil too, as soon as I get around to picking some more up from the store.
