Default Question! Why have onions gone so sky......

high in price They've been higher for at least a month
now, longer probably. What gives w/the onions :x I've
been wanting to ask this for weeks but kept forgetting.

Yes, I know gasoline is way higher too, and all foods are
higher too. But onions jumped like over night to 1.99 for
3 lbs, now 2.99 or higher for 3 lbs.

BTW, gasoline here is 309.9 to 319.9 per gal. N Ky and
Cinci Oh area.

Tuesday, May 8, large red onions at Wal-Mart in Arkansas were $1.44/lb,
and $5.50 for 5# at Sam's Club.

I always save my onion skin and make tea.
