Default Clickable smileys

Thanks Kevin!

There are many more smileys available than are visible in our clickable list.
Click on More, then enlarge the page for a greater choice.
um - choice!

We are limited to four smileys per post. If anyone feels the need for more than that, please tell Kevin!

I don't have a clickable smiles feature. I have to write the code in. Same with the color. So when you see that I have posted a smily I really mean it cause I went to great lengths to put it there!

You don't have clickables???
When you are writing your post, there is a group of them to the right.
Isn't there?
And there are 40 text colours available in the drop down box where you see the big bold A with an underline.

Have your tried FireFox? Why not use a standard and more popular browser?

Arrowwind,
  1. click User CP
  2. click Edit User Options
  3. scroll to bottom of page
  4. Look at what you have set for Message Editor Interface. do you have "Basic Editor - a simple text box" set? If so, this is the problem.
  5. to fix, click onthe down arrow (v) after the "Basic Editor - a simple text box"
  6. select a better editor.. I like the "Enhanced Interface - full WYSIWYG editing"
  7. click "save changes" at the bottom, and come back here and see if you can see the smileys.
Kevin, it will save you a lot of time in the long run if you go thru all the defaults you have set for the forum, and make sure they are what you think most people will use.

very nice, btw.

and I vote for a higher limit than 4. 10? it is not a high traffic board. You can always change it later...

actually, it is a natural tendency to push every button I come across to see what happens. which at times can break things. but.. you learn a lot!

I'm dangerous in a new car.

When my family got our first pc, I got an educational game for my son. The character would go thru all these obstacles, with an alligator or some peril at every turn. If the player gave the right answer, the character made it past the obstacles. if not.. gulp gulp goes the alligator. different peril at each obstacle course.

this game also had statistics on how well your child did, what areas they were having problems with, what areas they were strong in.

I looked at the statistics after my son had been playing for a while. what a shock.. he needed work on everything... his scores were dismal. I thought.. I know my son is smarter than this. what is going on?

so, the next time I watched. and I saw what was happening. My son would get to a peril and purposely give a wrong answer... because he could see what would happen if he gave the right answer (he would jump clear to the next cliff, etc.). but he wanted to see what would happen when he gave the wrong answer. What would that alligator do? what would happen in that black box? etc.

and if it was cool... well then he would give 5 wrong answers to see if there were any variations in the dire consequences..

but.. eventually he got around to giving the right answer.. so he could find out what happened at the next hurdle..

and I thought... that's exactly what I would have done.. must be something genetic..

Aha, but your knowledge of other, more important things, is enlightening. The small stuff, like smileys will turn up when you need them!

Sorry, I thought it was a browser problem as Arrow can't use the similar feature on healthsalon.

The registration has used the most preferable options, I wasn't able to change the setting for the transferred members. Thanks ScorpioTiger!

what browsers does arrowwind use?

yes.. I know some browsers will suppress images depending on what you have set up in ad blockers.

I don't remember, never heard of the name. Some browsers doesn't support as much as IE and FireFox.
