Default Digestive system seems in a mess due to fairly heavy aspirin use

Help :-(

I've got probably Candida and associated probs like leaky gut, and was advised by some people as well as a larger approach to take ~300mg of aspirin a day which I did for 2-3 months. So far this seems to have been the worst mistake I have ever made. I stopped the aspirin due to severe nausea and a feeling of burning in my gut (intestinal area, not stomach), and the docs and stuff concentrated on the possibility of a stomach ulcer. Perhaps 4 months later and I'm still struggling to varying degrees. Awful nausea, sometimes burning sensation, one time I fainted (recently), food reactions to SO many things.

I've been to the doc's a few times since then and mostly got told to see how it goes.

As well as a natural diet and some stuff for Candida I'm also currently drinking calendula tea and soon cabbage juice.

Ugh it's so horrible :-(

Anyone else got any advice for NSAID/aspirin damage? Failing that a hug is very much needed as this is v horrible :'(

Thanks,

Mike

Gut flora repair Cooling Inflammation
I'd suggest you spend some time reading Dr Ayers site from the start.
Pay particular attention to his anti-inflammatory diet.

As for the Candida I think raw garlic is useful, as is using coconut oil as you main cooking fat.
Drinking green tea as your main beverage,
Curcumin and cinnamon will also help deter Candida.
Raw milk is a good source of lactoferrin and this helps you can also buy Lactoferrin supplements. Lactoferrin locks up iron and boost immune function.
in a similar way MELATONIN either by improving natural melatonin secretion (bright light exposure daytime, Flux and subdued light evenings, total darkness eye mask ear plugs while asleep or time release melatonin supplements help boost immune function while binding or chelating free iron. Depriving Candida of iron helps starve it out.
My view is that candida is an opportunist infection which is always going to be waiting to pounce.
I think you need to deploy all of the above suggestions together with any more you come across (probiotics, natural live yoghurt, kefir fermented foods) all at the same time. I think it's a case of not feeding it the stuff it likes so keeping your refined carbohydrate/sugar/fructose intake around the 50g daily mark is a sensible long term strategy.
I think there is a problem with many modern intensively bred/raised/processed grains that underlies much of the allergy/sensitivity/autoimmune type conditions. I think most people are best advised to avoid them altogether and not waste time on gluten free type substitutes. Simply don't eat the foods that contain grains/sugars of whatever kind and give them up for good. Once you've broken your addiction you'll never look back.
But do be aware your body will have a load of toxins/die off to get rid of so you'll probably feel a bit crap/itchy for a while while this happens.
