Here is a NatMedTalk.com search for blood pressure. Please check them out. Yours does seem incredibly high. How are you testing it?

Meanwhile, you might try eating a lot of fresh garlic on a daily basis. It may take a few days for positive results
to show up. Also magnesium - 800 mgs a day.

I would get off the processed carbs. (yeah it really does make a difference) I agree with Early Bird and would use garlic, but I would also add sesame oil... If my blood pressure was as high as yours, I would do a tablespoon of sesame oil three times a day.... and walk!!!! At least a half hour a day, but maybe a half hour twice a day!

Elevated BP can be caused by vascular disease,, hardening of the artheries... lots of plaque build up. If you have that, that needs to be addressed...

there are other causes of elevated BP also.

220/130 is a dangerously high blood pressure, with high risk of heart attack/stroke.

Are you under the care of a doctor and on BP medicine? Natural methods take time and you need treatment as soon as possible to get it lowered. If it was me I would go to the ER and get some emergency treatment.

Blood pressure measuring 220/130 is dangerously high. You can get a stroke anytime. You need to see a doctor for medication to control it immediately. However, taking medication is not a long term solution. Here are 5 ways to reduce it naturally:
1) Reduce salt intake to 1500mg/day
2) Exercise regularly
3) Change to a diet of low fat and high fiber
4) Take Omega 3
5) Choose protein from plant rather than meat.

Thanks you guys for the replies. If you can keep them coming, do so. I am on a beta blocker, catipress a water pill and another one that raises the pressure, so I don't take it. I have been doing a low carb diet since 2000. had my arteries scanned and they are clear, even the carotid. No PAD.
Just took it and it was 180/108. I will do no walking until spring. it is - 2 degrees here now with a predicted hi of 18

Why on Earth would anyone live in such conditions. That is not living. That is surviving. It will be in the high 70s in central TX until Thanksgiving.

Arrowwind suggested a rebounder. In my opinion, this is the best aerobic indoor exercise. They are not expensive. You can find some with handles to steady yourself. You can use by jumping, like jump rope, and you can use it for running in place. The mini-trampoline is about 3 feet diameter.

Buy yourself the best present to combat your problem... a treadmill
Mine inclines to increase difficulty & folds up as a space saver.
It's great to have during winter months.

get a rebounder and use it in the house. We've got the same kind of weather that you have here.. the high was 13 yesterday, and I think you have snow coming your way.We got 2 inches last night

Sometimes BP problems are due to kidney issues. I have read a number of testimonials where MMS has lowered BP. It has also pulled some people out of chronic kidney failure and literally saved their lives. No one knows exactly what occurs for these positive outcomes though

I consider 140/90 to be normal, and 160/100 to be somewhat high, but your readings are much too high, even when the heart is between beats.

For supplements, I would suggest cayanne first, because it will improve circulation bigtime. Next, I would suggest Arginine, because it will promote nitric oxide, which will dilate arteries and improve blood flow. Next hawthorn, then lots of C with bioflavonoids, and fish oil along with lots of E in mixed form.

Also take some Co Q10 daily along with alpha-lipoic acid, and some antioxidants from fruit and berry extracts.

Make sure you are getting plenty of magnesium (from citrate) as well as having optimum D3 on a daily basis.

I would not be surprised to hear that you are 50 pounds overweight or more. If that is the case, exercise is crutial.

Having said all of the above, I would also suggest a four to seven day fast. That would bring all your numbers back down into the normal zone.

Not just blood pressure, but also blood sugar, homocysteine, C-reactive protein, as well as weight.

On a final note, if you are overweight and have difficulty losing, try taking Lugols iodine on a daily basis as well, and eliminate chlorine, which means no tap water. You will need plenty of good "pure" water to help flush out toxins..

I almost forgot to mention that chocolate helps drop high blood pressure better than anything the doctor can give you, and it doesn't have any nasty side effects. Of course I am referring to the dark chocolate and not milk chocolate... which is totally useless.

Beet juice is also known to help.
