\r\n \r\n I don\'t think there would be a problem as long as you were taking a vitamin B complex supplement daily. Niacin does have some side effects though, one is stomach pain, it also has an effect on the liver and blood sugar. Here\'s an excerpt from a post from Jfh...

\r\n \r\n Side Effects
\nA deficiency of niacin causes pellagra. The symptoms include inflamed skin, digestive problems, and mental impairment.
\n
\nLarge doses of niacin can cause liver damage, peptic ulcers, and skin rashes. Even normal doses can be associated with skin flushing. It can be prescribed as a treatment for elevated total cholesterol and other types of lipid disorders, but it should only be used with medical supervision due to its potential for severe side effects. https://www.nlm.nih.gov/medlineplus/e...cle/002409.htm
\n
\nNiacin (nicotinic acid)
\nThis drug works in the liver by affecting the production of blood fats. Niacin is prescribed to lower triglycerides and LDL cholesterol and raise HDL ("good") cholesterol.
\n
\nNiacin side effects may include flushing, itching and stomach upset. Your liver functions may be closely monitored, as niacin can cause toxicity.
\n
\nNonprescription immediate release forms of niacin usually have the most side effects, especially at higher doses. Niacin is used cautiously in diabetic patients as it can raise blood sugar levels.
\n
\nNiacin comes in prescription form and as dietary supplements. Dietary supplement niacin must not be used as a substitute for prescription niacin. It should not be used for lowering cholesterol because of potential serious side effects.
\n
\nDietary supplement niacin is not regulated by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) the same way that prescription niacin is. It may contain widely variable amounts of niacin from none to much more than the label states. The amount of niacin may even vary from lot to lot of the same brand. Consult your doctor before starting any niacin therapy. https://www.americanheart.org/present...identifier=163\r\n \r\n

Default Niacin unbalancing other b vitamins?

Hello I currently take 500mg of Niacin (vitamin b3) every four days because it helps my acne immensely. However I took my dose today and I almost instantly got a terrible pain in my stomach. Could this be from unbalanced b vitamins?
