Since corn is scarce and expensive this year, gasoline containing ethanol are going to be expensive. Of course, that means non-ethanol gas stations are going to gouge you anyway to keep up with other stations. Most all refineries put about 10% ethanol. The problem with this is that it burns hotter and faster. So you are using more, and quicker than you want. I'm getting 52.5 miles per gallon, so I haven't filled up since 3.39.

Plus the fact it takes more energy to make the ethanol than you get back out of it.

Causes more wear too.
