Those foods are all healthy choices for everyone to stay healthy. I've been giving my husband Beta-Sitosterol and Saw Palmetto for years now to avoid any prostate problems. The Saw Palmetto I have now also has Pygeum in it.

I don't know how old your friend is, but I've heard that if men live long enough, the majority of them will get prostate cancer. Also, that they will die with protate cancer and not from it, if left untreated. They said that men go through needless expense and pain, from hormone treatments and surgeries for nothing.

What was your friends course of treatment, and if you don't mind, how old is he?

hes 57,

thankfully it hadn't spread to far when they caught it!

Im not to sure of the specifics of his treatment but I believe he is currently classed as low risk and they are currently fighting it with hormone treatment and considering the options before going in for intrusive surgery.

Your right about the people dying with, rather than of the prostate cancer though it is responsible for nearly 10,000 deaths in the UK currently
