Default Lemon water in the morning?

My stomach is nauseated in the morning. I drink a can of guava juice before my morning walk but I think this might be better. Squeeze lemons and put the juice in an ice tray then at night put one of the cubes in the refrigerator so to be unfrozen in the morning then in a 16 oz glass filled with orange juice and the lemon juice and drink it right before my morning walk. I have to take my walk ASAP in the morning because I live in Phoenix AZ.

It sounds like a good idea, but a 16oz glass of juice wouldn't work for me, 8oz at the most. Unless it's diluted with water, I think there's a high sugar content in such a large glass of juice, even if it's natural sugars. Also, that much liquid before a walk would make me need to use a restroom too quickly.

I bet you do really have to get out early in Arizona, probably doesn't even cool off enough for evening walks, good for you that you're getting in some good exercise.

I dilute the orange juice but 16oz is ok because I'm walking in almost 90 degrees which is the coolest part of the day and you need the water after a night sleep. I use the bathroom twice as much as normal because I'm 64 but 16 oz. is really not enough because when I come back from my walk I drink 12 oz. of water and this is only after 30 minutes. There is no such thing as evening walks with your dog unless your just plane doesnt care about your dog because at sundown it's always 100+ degrees, like today at sunset it will be 101 degrees.

I'm very happy to hear that you are taking such good care of yourself by keeping hydrated, and also so considerate of your dog's health and comfort.

After responding to your message this morning, I went out for a walk myself at around 11:00AM. It was hot and sunny, with a bit of a breeze and probably in the high 80's (Colorado). I left the dog home, because there was no water for him to swim and cool off in. We take him to the park almost everyday where he can walk off-leash and also cool off in a stream.

Lemons are great! I'm too lazy to buy fresh, but I use the juice everyday on or in something.

I use to live in Longmont CO and it is a great state but a little pricey. The next time you take a walk just leave earlier and take your dog so it’s cooler. Most people belong to Costco or Sam’s and they always sell 5 pound bags of lemons and limes then take the entire 5 pounds and juice them and put into an ice tray and now your set for the next month. I have 4 lemon cubes left so I will go to Costco and get my lemons and frozen orange juice by the six packs. I’m lazy also and that’s why I do things by the bulk so I don’t have to do them often.

I am a member at Costco, and buying in bulk is the way to go. I don't have a juicer, but I plan to get one sometime in the future and I'll keep your advice about lemons in mind. I could've taken my dog out for a walk in the evening, around 6PM or later it starts to cool off. But...he was attacked yesterday at the dog park by an Akita, so he needed a day of rest. Just minor bite punctures in the fleshy area on his upper back below his neck, shaved to evaluate, and applied hydrogen peroxide...should be ok.
