Question Active Cultures in Blended Yogurt

Can active cultures survive in blended yogurt? I'm pretty sure the blended ones show that they have active cultures in them on the label. My husband read somewhere that the fruit on the bottom had the active cultures only.

I usually get fruit on the bottom, but will buy blended if it's on sale. I noticed the Fage greek yogurt that we have now, has the fruit actually in a seperate section of the container.

I would not waste my money on purchased yogurt. It is so easy to make, and at a fraction of the cost. This way you know what you have.

Of course for a while all dairy products will be suspect for carrying radioactive iodine in the USA. The risk will not be fully eliminated untill 80 days after the last discarge from Japan, or record of iodine found in water, food or the air in the USA
