Day 16 Things I have noticed:

I have mild GERD which is now much more milder.

Stair machine: Really easy and boring.

When I wake up, it is POW! Out of bed immediately

It took me quite a few times to quit. Mainly because there wasn't the smoking bans in public places as there is now.
Anyway, during one of my quit sessions, a man was pulling into the McDonalds parking lot as I was about to exit and he was giving me a odd look. All of a sudden I realized it was a frenchfry between my fingers that I was trying to take a drag off

I do not buy nicotine is addictive. I do buy the habitual part of it and that is what you were doing. Did you have a month coughing spree after you quit. I have not had this yet?

Congratulations on your continued success, saved. I'm surprised you haven't picked it up again.

Many people say cigars aren't addictive, but I really doubt it.

Thanks I would think Cigars are addictive. I think it is mainly psychological. As for real chemical addictions, I am a huge coffee drinker and once yrs ago ended up in the hills of PA for a day without coffee: Good Lord, the headaches were something else

Coming in late to this, but good on ya!!

My husband quite cold turkey about 15 years ago - we never smoked inside the apartment, only out in the balcony - it was mid-winter and there was a foot of snow on the balcony, plus, he had the flu - he was about to put a coat on over his jim-jams to go out and smoke and said f**k it! Went back to bed -

The next day he felt like a walk, so we walked for 5 hours all around town, the next day again, and so on... never smoked again!

I have smoked sporadically, but never got addicted - when I was working in a kitchen, I smoked profusely during my breaks - but I don't miss it when I don't smoke - actually, you made me realized I haven't had a smoke in over 3 years !

Indeed! What are they now, like $10 a pack?

In another life I used to work for a big-cig company and used to get a carton a week delivered to my desk -
