Default Do water ionizers have to meet standards?

Do water ionizers have to meet any standards to be sold in the US? Are all of them safe? or what should you look for?

Hi Saved...

I know you don't, but lot's of people do, so I am just trying to figure out what is the standards that they need to meet to be sold in the US? I believe that devices sold/used for health or filtration needs to meet some world or National standard(s).
