FIGHTING EXERCISE INDUCED INFLAMMATION, CORTISOL INCREASE AND CATABOLISM
It's possible that too aggressive and exercise or calorie restriction diet increase stress levels, increase cortisol levels.
Cortisol is a glucocorticoid
“Side effects of oral corticosteroids that are used on a short-term basis include: an increase in appetite, weight gain, insomnia, fluid retention, and mood changes, such as feeling irritable, or anxious.

Side effects of oral corticosteroids used on a long-term basis (longer than three months) include: osteoporosis (fragile bones), hypertension (high blood pressure), diabetes, weight gain, increased vulnerability to infection, cataracts and glaucoma (eye disorders), thinning of the skin, bruising easily, and muscle weakness.”

I think improving anti inflammatory status is going to be needed to break out to the plateau rather than creating more inflammation. Check omega 3, vitamin d, magnesium intakes and ensure you are doing everything possible to get a good nights sleep. (increase melatonin secretion or take melatonin)
