Pinballdoctor, there was a lot of good information in that video. I managed to watch the whole thing. Thanks!

For people who haven't time to invest in the long version
Sugar: The Bitter Truth (The SHORT Version) from Sean Croxton Underground Wellness.
This provides a useful summary and perhaps if you watch it before and again after Lustig's lecture you'll have a better idea of what he is saying.

Excellent. Learned a lot.

I had no idea that enzymes convert citrate to VLDL (very low density lipoprotein).

I'll remember that when choosing mineral supplements which are bound with citrate. That's why I will stick with magnesium malate, instead of mag citrate. Malic acid (malate) improves the ATP, the cells energy.

I just ordered these for the first time from iHerb and they will be here tomorrow.

Source Naturals, Magnesium Malate, 1250 mg, 180 Tablets....

I usually prefer capsules but I'll put up with these this time.

Good luck Nightowl, it's a good brand, but I bought the tablets a long time ago and they were HUGE 'horse-pills'. I had trouble swallowing even when I broke them in half. The capsules were a lesser potency, but I went with them.

kind2creatures, I sure hope they reduced the size. Lately I have trouble swallowing large ones...they stick in my throat! I didn't see the capsules so settled for the tablets. I do have a pill crusher thingie! I remember just a few years ago when I used to take a whole fist-full of vitamin capsules all at once!

My husband's like that, he swallows the whole handful I give him everyday, no problem, but he complained when I started giving him the SN MagMalates. I go one by one, and sometimes they dissolve in my mouth before I can get them down. I have a pill cutter/crusher, but never use it, it's such a hassle. With the Magnesium Malate pills, I just figured they had to make it that big to get such a high potency.

I'll have to shop around and look for capsules. Thanks for letting me know.
