Default Birds

How long does it take for baby birds to mature? The swallows have built nests under the eaves near our door and also on the garage. They dive bomb us every time we step out of the door and make it almost impossible to use the yard. They literally part your hair and, frankly, Im frightened of themthere will be a dozen circling around taking their turn at diving at me. We may be forced to take the nests down but I hate to do it with baby birds inside. Any suggestions?

From what I have seen in the past, it should be only a couple of weeks... the birds will quit divebombing once the babies are gone.... they are trying to protect their young.... I have a friend who has a bluejay that insist on nesting in a tree in her front yard... she goes thru this every year. Once the babies are out of the nest, every thing gets back to normal.
