Default computer question?

does anyone know how I would be able to get my signature... (like the way I would sign a check) onto my computer, so that I can put it on the paperwork I have to do every month... Instead of having to print it out, sign it all.. then e-fax it to where it needs to go... Surely there is a way, that I can get my signature on these forms without having to waste so much paper monthly.. Thanks for all the help.

You can scan your signature into a picture file, but I'm not sure if you can attach a picture in your e-fax system.

How about just using one of the fancy font options?

Another computer question!!!! No sense in starting a new thread!!!

So the daughter isnt living at home anymore, and the son and daughter in law work too many hours to have to deal with my computer...My computer has been running really slow... no virus's, (whats the plural of virus?) I have AVG, and it runs a virus scan every night... but I noticed tonight, that so far its taken 5 hours to scan my computer.... I dont think I have that much stuff on my computer, I think its because of all the tracking cookies... So, can I get rid of all these tracking cookies? If so, how do I get rid of all these tracking cookies??? thanks for any help you can give me!!!

If you use FireFox, use the menu Tools -> Clear Private Data. If you use IE, select the menu Tools -> Internet Options, then click the Delete button.

The most effective way to deal with slow computer is reinstalling Windows, it's better than an expert's help.

The plural of stimulus is stimuli and of focus it is foci. The plural of virus should be viri. These are words that have been borrowed from Latin, the language once used by the Romans, for use in the English Language. However, these days I am seeing plurals like viruses.

I actually do know how to do a defrag... and do that often.... Apparently, it was the tracking cookies, because now my computer is running the way it should!!! thanks for all the help!!! This forum is soooooo good!

Due to the better disk management, defrag is obsolete for new systems like XP.

Thumbs up Search Engine/private

Here's a search engine (Ixquick), not as good as
google, but much more private...doesn't record your IP address.

Thumbs up Opt-Out site

If you want to opt-out of web advertising beacons putting cookies on your computer, here's a site I learned about from Kim Komando. It's a single cookie in itself, so if you delete your cookies, just go back to this site and click "select all" and "submit". I like it because it tells me who has an active cookie on my computer. I saved it in "my favorites" for easy access

Here's the link:
