Default Foot Care and Health

An article about taking care of your feet...

Quote:
Besides injuries such as fractures, strains and sprains, feet are subject to a long list of painful ailments. Tendons can become inflamed as can the plantar fascia, a band of connective tissue that runs along the bottom of the foot. The big toe can become deformed, creating a bunion, while the small toes can become bent, forming hammertoes (which may develop callus-like corns where they rub against the shoe).
Benign tumors called neuromas can develop when nerves in the foot become irritated. The skin (especially between the toes) is subject to athletes foot, a fungal infection; toenails can be attacked by fungus or become ingrown.

In some cases, reduced foot pain can actually be hazardous. Neuropathy, often caused by diabetes, occurs when nerves lose their ability to sense pain or temperature extremes. Injuries may go unnoticed as a result and gangrene, or tissue death, can set in, which in turn may lead to amputation.

Foot reflexology is good for the feet and the whole body. I've been working on a lady recently doing whole body massage, but her feet are in bad shape. They could hardly tolerate any touch and lots of knots and painful spots in the feet. I give her a massage about once every 6 weeks or so and include her feet even though she protested. Now her feet are much looser and have much less sensitivity and pain. I am confident this will benefit her whole system.

I guess this is a topic i could write about it...ok here we go again

3 years ago i had an accident, very serious one and the doctors basically saved my life...

But the big toe on my left foot was broken (i guess) and nobody noticed it,its a long story but now i am left with almost no movement in the last joint of the big toe(the one you can use to catch something with it,lets say),as if that was not enough the toe bends slightly to the left and of course every day is a painful experience walking, running, god forbit carrying heavy stuff,i cant even pick up my girlfriend for christs sake...

i guess it could have been fixed at the time of my accident,or at least made better, but it was unnoticed as they were busy keeping me alive...anyway

so now i have to do some sort of a surgery, fusion, keller,or something...

Is there anything any of you have in mind like alternative surgery ?? or some sort of physiotherapy which would hurt but with time could bring back my toe to a painless mobile state again...

i dont want to do a surgery, cutting it open, needles, cutting tissue, bone, omg its not that im scared as i would be under anesthesia but imagine the pain my body would endure and how it would affect my entire body function, causing only god knows what in the future...i dont have arthritis or osteoporosis or nothing like that, its basically a broken big toe,on the distal phalange, which didnt heal properly and its been 3 years, any imput? alternative surgery? extreme physiotherapy(sort to say)?? anything??

Before I resorted to surgery I would do a not of massage and range of motin on the foot, not just the toe but the whole foot. many people who have foot surgery live to regrett it,

Do you think this is nerve pain or bone pain?

If it is bone pain try the homoepathic remedy called symphytum in 200c potency. Once a day for a few days. If it improves but comes back repeat the medicine. If no improvement in 4 or 5 days its not the righ remedy. You can purchase it on line in a homeopathic pharmacy.

You can also consider that nerves did not heal well. For this purchase a high powered b vitamin in a capsule. Get some DMSO. Open the capsule and rub the b vitamin with the DMSO into your foot. Also get a doctor to give you B12 injections. 1 mg every other day at least. You will have to find an alternative thinking doc who will go for this. B12 can be injected subcutaneously just the same way they do insulin.. so you should be able to inject yourself. Teach your doctor well. Autism kids are using is subq. all the time.

My friend, its the Bone, for sure...i have a few x-rays,i will try to upload them tomorrow i just dont know how would the camera work on taking pictures of x-ray's,ill try tomorrow...
Thats not to say that nerves are not a problem too,its just that from what i see on the x-ray its bone problem,it grew wrong basically...

As far as reducing pain thanks for the input arrowind i will keep it in mind, but honestly after 3 years of hurting every step i would risk a surgery, just to stop hurting...i mean im 21 yrs old,no sports no nothing for 3 yrs now,and i need to be pain free i mean do you know the effect of having pain on the Big toe of any foot,on every second or third step, every day,all day (unless when drunk it settles down then a bit) ,it makes you not wanting to walk, and than automatically makes you sit,or stay home more, and so you get away from people, become antisocial, depression,oh god us humans,we suck...

anyway i will try to post the x-rays tomorrow, but im telling you only a surgery would '''''fix''''''' (with many '''''''''''''''''''''''s) this...
as far as physiotherapy goes you will be the judge after seeing the x-rays,but unfortunatelly i dont think it would do me any good, its been too long(and the reason for that is,what makes the world go around$)...
