Default Bacteria help explain why stress, fear trigger heart attacks

It's possible Uffe Ravnskov's hypothesis that bacterial infection is the cause of heart disease is going to turn out correct.
A possible mechanism is detailed here.
Bacteria help explain why stress, fear trigger heart attacks

This paper shows oral biofilm may find a way to reach arteries.

Biofilm in the Human Body

If this new theory holds up then higher 25(OH)D vitamin d levels that enable the body to better upregulate the anti microbial peptides that fight bacteria infection will be a better option than statins.
Statins do have an antibiotic actions (which may explain why they help reduce heart deaths) but as lower cholesterol levels associate with higher all cause mortality their cholesterol lowering action is dangerous for older people particularly.
