No chart is perfect, bromine functions by brominated amino acids. There is strong evidence for being essentiality for humans

I'd be interested to see that. All my learning to this point indicates bromine saturates the thyroid and is toxic due to displacing iodine uptake.

Bromine is a halogen, as is iodine. Bromine tricks the thyroid into believing it has enough iodine, so that's the bad news.
However, bromine is an essential element for the construct of tissue.
