This is excellent info for diabetics type 1 and 2. Though the clinical trial was for type 2. Theoretically, it should be of value to type 1s.

It is rare that there are clinical trials for non-pharmaceuticals. There is no money in it.

As you say Jim, it's rare for a 'natural' treatment to undergo serious research in its own right. Usually they're either trying to smear it or make a pharmaceutical preparation out of it.

I first heard of OLE as an alternative treatment for Lyme disease. Then it transpired to have value in treating heart ailments. Also chest conditions. And now this...

Now that Big Pharm has decided to abandon antibiotics in favour of the hugely lucrative vaccine market, this may well be the first of many such studies.

Silver is being used in an ever increasing number of allopathic/mainstream medical products nowadays.
