Mmmmm Cookie, you're my kinda gal! Nothing better than homemade meatballs, sometimes I'll just stab one and eat it on the fork, can't wait for the rest of the meal. Like 'em with spagetti, or on a hero...as a kid used to love them with mashed potatoes, yummy!

That's exactly what happened to me! Lol I'm so embarrassed that I couldn't eat just one hahaha They're small. My son's birthday is Dec 24th & he chose meatballs & stuffed shells for his b-day dinner. Since I'm workin' friday, and I need to stop at the bakery for his cake on the way home, I cooked & froze so all I'll need to do is heat & serve...
I made a pot of stew for dinner mmmMMmmmmmm My parents are 80 and Mom does very simple dinners now, so I always double up on recipes to send a batch of everything over to them.
They're making out this week. Meatballs & stew

Thumbs up

I made Beef Stew yesterday - cooked all day. Yummy last night! Enuff for 2 more meals.
I had to laugh, I've done the same thing with meatballs - scarfing them down before eating them with spaghetti.
They just look so good sitting there in the sauce.

mmmm Greek meatballs. Ouuu that's right, you're greek so your meatballs come natural Can I (we all) have the recipe?

Oh gosh, I'd hafta make them in order to get exact measurement cause i just add what looks right.
The ingredients; I don't use ground pork w/beef. They're all beef!

ground beef
finely minced onion
finely minced garlic
2 eggs
italian flavored bread crumbs
1/4 cup parmesan cheese
powdered garlic
black pepper
parsley flakes
thyme
oregano

Just add the bread crumbs until you can't feel the gushyness of the egg any longer.
Cheater here, i don't brown on the stove anymore. Brown them in the oven @ 325 for a half an hour turning 3x
Blot on paper towels
Simmer in sauce for an hour

Sure! These are w/spinach

18 jumbo shells cooked
15 oz ricotta
1c (4oz) mozerella shredded
1/3 c parmesan
1/4 tsp pepper
1 package frozen thawed & drained, or 10 oz fresh chopped spinach
sauce

set aside a small amount of shredded mozerella for topper
stir everything together
put about 1 cup of sauce in the bottom of the pan
fill shells
pour remainder of sauce over them
sprinkle top with reserved shredded mozerella

Bake @ 400* for 25 mins or until hot, hot, hot

You can add garlic or other spices to your liking. I prefer the plain recipe.

LOVE meatballs! Have you tried them over polenta? Make it really creamy with some parmesan mixed in and lots of butter, then in a bowl with meatball and lots of sauce...

In South America we eat meatballs over rice also...

I just tried some at Whole foods the other day, pretty good!
