Default The Afterlife Investigations: The Scole Experiment

The Afterlife Investigations: The Scole Experiment

An hour and twenty six minutes of pure delight for those with an interest in the Afterlife, in this documentary you will see scientifically carried out experiments which will leave you in no doubt that there is Life after death! For me, I've had an inner knowing that we survive death - even before my own NDE!

For five years a group of mediums and scientists witnessed more phenomena than in any other experiment in the history of the paranormal, including: recorded conversations with the dead, written messages on sealed film, video of spirit faces and even spirit forms materializing.

I was always intrigued by near death experiences that related to meeting a 'Bright Light'.

This is the only account I know where a person not only saw the 'Bright Light', but conversed with it, entered the 'light' and saw into Heaven itself.

Ian McCormack was night diving off the island of Mauritius when he was stung multiple times by Box Jellyfish, which are among the most venomous creatures in the world.

He tells how he clung to life while getting to hospital, was declared clinically dead soon afterwards, and how during this time he had an encounter with God, which radically changed the direction of his life.

I tend to over think things and one of those things is what happens when we go... I certainly hope this isn't the end, and sometimes it freaks me out to think it is.. But then, if it is.. Once I go I won't even realize it.. So...

I really would hope that we continue on..

Well, OK, continue on in a conscious form. Because we know energy cannot be destroyed, simply transferred into another state, so in that sense, what we are made up of will not die, it will simply get shifted into something else...

liverock,

I watched the interview with Ian McCormack last week, very interesting. But having read many books and watched many hours of documentaries I don't think its God who Ian met.

I agree with a Sufi teacher who said, the Light we meet at death is our higher self. To me this makes sense. After all God, is a beautiful mystery way beyond our comprehension.

I've watched a few talks on NDE with PMH Atwater and found them beneficial. She mentions a wonderful story about a real NDE Pioneer Elizabeth Kubler-Ross, which I'll not spoil here!

There are 4 monarch caterpillars on a milk weed basking under UV lights in my kitchen. (my five year old inspires me to do these types of things ). One caterpillar is hanging in his green and gold cocoon, another is upside down in the beginning stages, and two others are munching happily on the plant. I can't help but marvel at the various stages of life and be in awe of God's sovereignty.

It's beautiful that God has made everything to perfection.

I prefer to use the term Source because religion has tarnished the term God.

What is the Source. Everything. The Source is an Ocean of Infinity. And we are the waves.

We are all One. God cannot be confined to any particular brand of religion. Man made God in his image.

Everything is Perfect - it is Man who violates that Perfection.

I agree with all you say Revzen you have obviously taken the time to study and learn..

Ajax you will probably want to read the Steh material rather slowly because he tents to say a lot with few words. But on the other hand there are a lot of words to read.

I have also wondered about meditation and of course astral projection..

However, at the same time... I'm also kind of leery about trying it out because being one of an open mind, they say that astral projection can be kind of dangerous in the fact that you could go off floating away from your body and not be able to get back... That would be kind of scary!

So.. Assuming the astral plains are something we can explore in life, and where we ultimately go after death, what are these plains, what do they consist of... What is the purpose of all this?

Is Earth just the "proving grounds"? You say we are like robots, and in a sense you are right, so what is the point? If mankind is put on this planet for some reason, to learn things, and yet the majority run around like robots just to be returned to the astral plain?

Or is it that Earth is like the "reform" school for astral beings we are? We are thrown back here to learn a lesson of some sort, and if we don't manage to learn it, we come back again?

Are astral beings infinite, or finite? If there are only a finite number of astral beings, does that mean that the earthly bodies are home to only a partial astral entity? Is that why some people seem more like robots than others? They have a smaller portion of an astral being than others?

How DOES reincarnation fit in with the astral plain?

Its a relief knowing that the physical body we have is only temporary! Our consciousness experiences "being human" through this wonderful piece of machinery, and when the physical vehicle expires the soul simply return Home.

Well most of us do, but their are those souls who still have a strong attachment to the physical realms and for them it will take a little longer! People who have belonged to a particular religion will be dictated to by what they believed, and again it will take time before they too realize that they are not Home.

The religious realms of heaven and hell are not fictitous, stories of men wanting to instill the dear factor to remain in power!

The Source is Pure Love and is not an advocator of self harm/mutilation.

But if we are not conscious of our existence, doesn't that make us just as "dead"? We go on for example, and our bodies go away, our brain is where we have our conscious thoughts.. Does that go away when we die? If it does that is a scary thought indeed... Floating around not knowin who or what you are/were... Seems like that wouldn't be too pleasant...

But then how would you explain ghosts etc... And where is this "home" we return to? So many questions, so little time... And then, the ultimate irony is when we finally do get the answer we can not even share it...

Most of us are sleepwalking our way through life. We take so much for granted, and rarely appreciate the simple things in Life. A lot of us are nothing more than mechanical robots, we react to situation automatically. A number of years ago I was punched in an unprovoked attack, without even thinking I automatically punched the culprit straight back!

Were do thoughts come from? What are thoughts made of - energy? Who creates these thoughts? Their are times when a thought pops into my consciousness and I know its not one of mine! Sometimes at the start of a meditation practice I am bombarded with an endless flow of thoughts - and I am just sitting there as the witness observing. I just let the mind run amok and then when it sees that I am not trying to stop all the activity the thoughts then stop.

When all is quiet then I go within and become aware that I am not the body, nor the thoughts or the emotions. I am consciousness. Their is a Presence beyond the mind, Consciousness, which is waiting for us to realize that is who we truly are. This is what I am exploring.

I was blessed to be visited by my Gran who had left her body a few months earlier, when I was 12 or 13. She stood smiling at me in the corner of my bedroom and lit the whole room up! Then she simply vanished. I was going through a difficult period at the time, but things settled down after I'd seen my Gran. Although no words were spoken there was a great sense of Love in the bedroom. That was confirmation of Life after death - not that I needed such a confirmation! But it was nice all the same!

Life is a beautiful Mystery. It is Man which contaminates the beauty and the mystery.

At one point in my life I wanted to know if reincarnation was true or not. So I prayed to find the answer.I did not want another's story I wanted to see my own. I was given living experience to show me that it is true and I believe all the NDE is just approach to the doorway to a new life, either here in this world or another somewhere in this dimension or elsewhere.

I'm reading the Seth Materials -- Jane Roberts. Seems when you die you remember all your lives and you are free to pick out your next life based on what sorts of things you need to learn. I have my skepticism but I am reading the book and making judgments later.

Seth also said that ultimately your soul "merges" with "God" and becomes one with all the billions of other souls. I read that decades ago when it first came out. Left a lasting impression upon me. I'm pretty sure you will enjoy it, and you will more easily understand whatever religion you have whether you have any or not.

You might also enjoy The Key to Theosophy by H. P. Blavatsky

I'm not saying that your religion should be changed, just that your mind might be more satisfied. After all, the mind is like a parachute. It doesn't work unless it is open. I don't hold to theosophy, but the concept is most refreshing. I lean more toward pantheism. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pantheism

See? I can still be a hippie at heart.

Blavastsky, Rudolf Steiner, Osho, Tuesday Lobsang Rampa, Dr Raymond Moody, Dr David Fontana have all helped me along the way. I take what resonates with me, and am adaptable. Lately I have discovered the Sufi Way which resonates with me greatly. I have abandoned orthodox religion having tasted its fruits when younger, and decided it wasn't for me!

Here's an interesting NDE by a neuro surgeon:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=H6tep...eature=related

George Noory interview with Dr Eben Alexander MD, about his book "Proof of Heaven -- A Neurosurgeon's Journey into the Afterlife". This renowned surgeon suffered a life threatening meningococcal infection and went into a coma. He eventually awoke with amazing insights that have had a profound impact on his life.
