Question

Yeah, TV News Media encouraging everyone to shop early for Christmas
and NOT wait for more bargains later as store inventories are down since
Christmas shopping was so poor in 2008.
I don't think they get it - With so many out of work, others fearing possible
joblessness, and others losing their homes - how many do they think are
going to rush out and Spend, Spend, Spend on Christmas '09?
Duuuuh!

What bugs me, is it's ALL about the money! They really use the hoildays to manipulate folks! You start seeing Christmas related stuff in stores in early October sometimes! By the time the holiday comes around, I'm sick of it, it's almost like it ALREADY came and went!! We don't have kids, and don't make a big fuss about any holiday. Ones like Valentines Day, we completely ignore. We show our love for each other throughout the year, and don't need to be guided to buy flowers, candy, etc. etc. on a particular day!
