Well finally, my candida issue is hitting like a mack truck...
I have had minor issues since around the age of 17 or 18...and the idiot doc at that time gave me two whopping syringes of pennicillin! After that,, thats when my distrust of doctors started... anyway, I have always been able to keep local infections under control first with miconazole, then tircanozole and now those don't don't work. On to diflucan.. and here I am on pill number 5 into the 14the day of treament and symptoms are only about 40 percent better... most yeast infections are suppose to cure with one pill and I'm up to 5 dang pills now.
Hence I have been brewing up big pots of Pau de Arco, in case anyone was curious about my new found interest in this plant.
and btw, I have never seen any reasonable testimonials that mms has cured candida, and in light of my full revulsion to taking it... I have left it behind for now.
I return to the doc on Tuesday and I am going to demand a full culture of this microbe to see just how bad it is....how far it has mutated.,.. which is merited I think if he wants to put me long term on diflcun that requires liver function tests monthly, I dam well want to know what I am treating in detail, if the cure could annhilate my liver.
Meanwhile the search is on for the cure because I know full well that conventional medicine does not offer a cure for advanced candida fungus.
So I found this and wondering if anyone has herd of it. I have read one very sound testimonial on its successful use... but have found no more. it was promoted by Sarah Vaughtner and she still promotes it but can no longer sell it as the FDA smacked her. She has some very very good candida info on her site. Her site is www.owndoc.com and she has some great advice on making very powerful yogurt which is exactly what I did last week when I added 2 caps of VSL#3 to my yogurt makings.. it was nice to read her article as a confirmaiton to my idea.
Took me 10 days of diflucan to "cure" my dysbiosis problem. I went 5 extra days anyway, and since I had that many pills.
Don't forget that Candida thrives in an alkaline environment. The best way to control Candida is to keep in in its yeast (bud) state. Alkaline will just transform it into its fungus state.
Pau d'Arco, and most other herbs, is best with the least processing. Steeping in room temp water overnight is best, if you prefer it in as a tea.

My biggest concern with diflucan is establishing a more resistant microbe. I've decided that I will likely try the Lufenuron... nor do I want to be forever tortured by a weird diet....
I've really had it... I've likely treated this over 20 times in my life... and now Im heading to the big guns treatments... and if you think diflucan is not big guns it is... and I have seen many a case that it does not cure after repeated usage... and not that there are not bigger guns out there, for there are... any medicine for which you have to check your liver function after using it for 30 days is big guns, meaning it has the capacity to blow not just the organism apart, and mutate it, but it will mutate and blow you apart also!

I do know what you mean and feel the same way about therapies. We know that the therapies that exchange ions do not allow mutations. Such as MMS, hydrogen peroxide, and ozone. Colloidal silver won't cause mutations either. Unfortunately, there is no really good way to get these to the fungi, once it has become systemic or is in difficult locations like the sinuses. Sinuses don't seem to get a good blood supply, and that's the reason they are so difficult.
One of the reasons we get these invasions is that we defeat our pH balancing, either due to age, diet, or ignorance. I know everyone is so tired of me harping on the silly idea that an alkaline environment is good. It is not. Not. Neither is a constant acid environment. As we age, we do not produce stomach acid as well as when we were young. Young, meaning below 40. This is why so many need to supplement with betain HCL sometimes. TMG is a better form of betain HCL and it improve so many methyl actions in the body. Digestive bitters are also excellent to improve stomach acid, enzymes, mild liver flush, hormones, etc, etc, etc. Why do we need this? Everyone has Candida. It is part of the normal "flora" of our bodies. When we get our pH out of balance, leaning toward the alkaline side, the candida yeast buds mutate into candida fungus. I'm not kidding. It has the ability to transform back into the yeast bud too. It is an amazing parasite. Once you notice that you have an aggressive fungi, you can use many things to kill it. And kill it. And kill it. You won't defeat it unless you really use the BIG guns. This is because if you leave one tiny cell, it will propagate again within 10 days. But it won't necessarily be in fungus form, which is good. So, mark my words. You can, at most, just control the yeast, keeping it in its yeast form. The way to do that is to quit defeating your immune system's natural pH balancing act. A good reason why the acids help to "kill" the candida. Acids like provided by coconut. Do they really kill the candida? Or do they make the candida transform back into yeast?
So, do your thing about destroying the aggression with the meds, then really think hard about the digestive bitters, TMG, daily coconut oil, etc. Stay away from alkalizing agents, like bicarbonate of soda, except for short periods for a therapy. Or at least use the BS away from meals, give it an hour, then go back to try to rebalance the pH.
The main purpose of the probiotics is to produce acids, like lactic, in the intestines to keep them leaning toward the acid side. I do mean mild acid, because as you already well know, the body tries to ensure that the pH stays in a narrow range around 7.

Well I am doing the pau de arco right now... not myrrh though... didn't know about that one...
I keep reading on the Lefenuron... it does seem to work for severe cases... and apparently it has no toxic side effects having no place to interact in the body except in the chittin of the cell wall of the candida. The studies on it are impressive.
I went into www.owndoc.com 's forum today and she says that the Lufenuron will make the cell wall more susceptible to antifungal drugs also.. Some people use them together. It is the chittan that makes the candida so dang indistructable.

There is candida and then there is systemic candida.
If I were you I would treat myself as though I had the latter.
Having said that, I would take a good probiotic twice per day. That is crucial. This probiotic would contain at least 8 to 10 different strains, consisting of bifidum, acidophilus. rhamnosus, breve, longum, casel, plantarum, lactis, bulgaricus, and salvarius.
Each capsule should contain 50 billion cultures, and the capsule must be able to survive the stomach acid so it can enter the small and large intestines.
Also, don't underestimate the value of virgin organic coconut oil, and a temporary phase 1 diet. (grain free)
