Default Try This! Food for your Auto and Wallet!

Try:
https://autos.msn.com/everyday/gassta...?zip=&src=Netx

This should take you to a site where if you type in your zipcode, it will show a map as well as give a list of stations with their gas prices in your area.

I typed in 40222 - a Louisville zip, 100 miles from me, and got prices from that area too.
Try it for your area of the country. It's a big help.

Wow, I found a Shell station that was a dime cheaper than everyone else. Hope it's correct.

Update..........bad info. Instead of a bargain, the Shell station was 18 higher than what the web site stated. It was also 6 higher than Wal-Mart/Murphy USA, where I usually go.

I saw part of a news broadcast that said something about a gas station was going to have to raise his prices or face fines from the government.. Apparently they are only allowed to go so low before they face big time fines Something about having not going below a certain profit margin. From what I understood of it, is this guy was cutting into his profits to make the gas cheaper, by giving discounts of three cents a gallon... and the government said he wasnt allowed to do that, so he had to put his prices back comparable to what everyone else has.... I see something wrong with that scenario, do you?

I owned a Shell station back in the 60s that was located on a corner.
The main highway in front was a feeder to the Sunshine Parkway, a major tourist thoroughfare.
My other road was a local farm road. My tourist trade weren't sensitive to local gas prices
because they were just passing through and bypassed the city. My locals were price conscious.
I had 2 pumps facing the farm road and 4 pumps facing the tourist highway.
I lowered the price 4 on my "farm road" pumps and left the tourist pumps the same.
I only advertised the higher prices. Pretty soon the locals were flocking to my cheap pumps.
Of course the tourists were free to fill up at my cheap pumps also. My competitor station owner
across the street got wind of what I was doing and sicced the state inspector on me...
....who threatened to fine me, saying that I was "discriminating".

Smiths supermarket gives a 15 cent off per gallon coupon when you spend $90. And still Smiths is the cheapest in advertised price in my neighborhood, so grocery day is fill up day and we take all 3 or 4 vehicles, (2 are the kids) and fill up on one coupon. takes it down to $2.90 a gallon.

Default Gas Prices

I've found that it's better to check this site later in the
day for any price changes or accuracy.

Gas here in N Ky is at 329.9 now, up from the 2.98
I paid last Fri.. :x
