 There's thousands of environmental changes that could have caused it.  I read today where they're thinking that chemical fire retardants may be causing obesity and other bad things.  Adding chlorine, fluoride, bromide while reducing iodine could cause it.  Also our lazy indoor lifestyle......no sunshine, electro-magnetic emanations, stress, lack of stress.
