Default Too much Copper?

Can anyone help me out? I currently am taking 2 mg of Copper a day. I am thinking about increasing another 2 mg = 4 mg. Will it be harmful to me in any way if I decide to take 4 mg of Copper a day?

Thanks in advance.

It's not that I want to, but if there are no serious side effects, sure.. why I would. Two mg may be enough, but I just would like to know if 4 mg is harmful.

Researchers are getting worried about too much copper in the drinking water supply and supplemental copper. The inorganic type of copper found in the copper from water pipes and supplements has been implicated in the formation of amyloid beta plaque, the type of plaque found in the brains of Alzheimers patients.

I dont think its wise to take any supplemental copper unless you have been diagnosed as having a deficiency.

Dr. Morris' study showed that Americans who consume high-fat, high trans-fat diets combined with a high intake of copper experience the most rapid decline in their mental faculties, equivalent to 19 years of brain aging in a 6-year period! You are talking about people in this category having the limited brain function of a 90-year-old at the age of 60! This is three-fold accelerated loss of mental acuity.
