Default Diplopia after strabismus surgery

I had congenital strabismus for 36yrs. Then had strabismus surgery that resulted in diplopia with visual confusion. Have had another surgery and a botox to help alleviate my symptoms but to no avail. Have seen pediatic opthalmalogists but some say to reverse the surgery and other say don't. I am confused and have terrible double vision thats hard to live with. What are my choices? What would be the best thing to do? Are reversal surgeries usually successful?
