Default Where to Recycle used ink cartridges for money or credit

Currently I recycle used ink cartridges with Staples(a office supply chain store). Unfortunately they give store credit, and they recently reduced the amount of credit per cartridge turned in from $3 to the current $2. They also have other restrictions:
-- you can only turn in 10 cartridges per month
-- they mail you the credit and it can take several months for them to send it(But I finally signed up for the Rewards section of their website and opted to receive the Ink Recycling Rewards statement electronically, hopefully it works.)
-- the credit expires fairly soon, so you cannot amass and combine credit as easy

I live in Northern New Jersey, so chain stores that operate in other parts of the country, may not be around here. Does anyone know a store that gives better incentives and less restrictions for recycled cartridges?

Why bother with recycling? Take them to Walgreens and have them refilled. Cost is about half of that of a new cartridge.

You can also get them refilled at Cartridge World too, but I don't care for that solution. it is still too expensive and time consuming(traveling to the store). I now use a Continuous Ink System for my inkjet:
CIS is much cheaper than refills.

My situation is that I get alot of cartridges through my brother's work to various printers. Even with both of us turning them in, we still have a stockpile that we cannot return until the next calendar month.
