Counting takes time, but later you will be able to judge the carbs in your head.

Hope things are going well for you and post often, OK?

My best to you...

Hello

sorry not been on for a few days - really busy with university and work, well had a wee sneak peak on the scales this morning and i seem to have lost 4lbs so far

i am over the moon that all my efforts and hardwork are paying off, i have printed off the full list of acceptable foods from the atkin site and have put them on my fridge and my scales are nearby.

i was out for dinner last night and had a steak with mushrooms and a garlic and herb butter - was delicious - sat there while my sister stuffed her face lol

willpower being tested to the fullist this weekend tho, meeting friends for lunch and going out tonight - however i am driving which i volunteered lol

Yay for your progress so far! It's exciting to see the weight melt away! Lunches with friends can be easy if you just stick to salad and protein. If I know where I'm going I'll usually check and see if they have a menu online so I can scope out my options ahead of time. That's not always possible though :-(

I hope you have fun out with your friends! Let us know how it went!

Halloumi cheese? That is a new one! I LOVE cheese, so I will look it up!

Good luck on the scales. NAG, NAG, NAG...did you take all your measurements with a cloth tape, write them down on a chart, and do it weekly? If NOT, you should!

Sometimes the scale is your enemy, BUT the tape measure is your best friend! I lost inches in between the pounds on the scale...shrunk from a 16 to an 8...THAT is so much more gratifying than pounds!

My best...

toni

Yay for your progress!!! 4 lbs is great!

I forget to measure myself sometimes. When I started I was so big that I didn't want to even know how bad I'd gotten. But Toni's right. I've stalled in pounds briefly but my pants still got looser.
