\r\n \r\n We use a combination of things...we give our pets brewers yeast (pest apparently have issues with B vitamins) We also put rosemary and orange essential oil in our dogs bath water, both these essential oil will help prevent fleas and mosquitoes. We also have used DE powder around the kennels when we had a really bad infestation quite a few years ago.... I havent seen a flea on my dogs in quite awhile\r\n

\r\n \r\n I\'ve tried a lot of natural things that people swear by, but never worked for us. Of course some people live in area that don\'t have fleas, so them swearing the natural remedies work isn\'t far, because of their location. I live in Florida and can\'t rely on natural remedies.

\nI care a lot about my dogs health, which is why I don\'t give her all those useless shots every year. She only gets the rabbies shot every 3 years by law, even though tests show they last 15 years.

\nI give her sentinel once a month for flea/heartworm medication. I didn\'t like using frontline topical solution to be honest and I prefer a pill once a month.

\nI\'ve tried everything from garlic, cider...etc for fleas and in my opinion, none of them have worked.\r\n

\r\n \r\n What worked for me were cedar chip sachets. I\'d make about 10 of them out of hampster cedar shavings & insert the sachets into the top portion of their bedding pillows.

\nWorked like a charm for us, never had to use a flea collar. \r\n

\r\n \r\n Cedar is great! Our dog had fleas from laying in the mulch so I put some cedar mulch on top of the areas he sits. Really helped far as I can tell.\r\n
