Default Eye injury in my dog

My dog got his eye scratched by a cat a few weeks ago. Took him to the vet who gave me oral antibiotics and an ointment for his eye. ( Neomycin and Polymyxin B and Dexamethasone Ointment) Took him back today and the vet said the infection looked better, but she wasn't sure if it was building scar tissue or he had a tumor. She wants me to take him to a specialist, and prescribed Prednisone Acetate drops in the meantime.

I do have mms on hand and I've got an order of colloidal silver on the way. Should I try one or the other, or both? I really can't afford to take him to a specialist. Can I give either/or with the oral antibiotics, and the prednisone?

I would use the colloidal silver to flush his eye at least twice a day. Use the prednisone only if it looks inflammed. skip the antibiotic, you don't need it with the silver.

Give oral mms.

Anyone know about putting mms in the eye?
Certainly you can put a drop of unactivated mms in his eye. one drop.

Are you saying I can give mms to him orally and 1 drop ( unactivated) in the eye?

I've got a 6 qt. water dish that 3 dogs and several cats share. Would it be ok to add the mms to the shared water dish? how many drops would I need for a 6t qt dish? There is no way I could figure out the mms dosage.

Oh, and thank you very much for the reply and advice.

For your dog I would start him orally at one drop activated. Mix with a little water and draw up with a syringe or how ever you might get it in him. Move up in dosage one drop at a time if he does Ok with it.

For putting it unactivated in his eye I would put one drop in one ounce of water and flush his eye with it.

If you treat all your pets you might end up with a lot of detoxing going on. I often put it unactivated in my dogs bowel of water. I use 6 drops for about 1 quart of water.

You can learn a lot at this site. they sell a sodium chlorite product called ox-e-drops. they do not acivate. Remember mms is about 6 x stronger.
