Default is pain normal when taking forteo,is it bone growth?

I have been on forteo for one month, after one month, I had pain in my leg bone, once or twice.I stopped, after informing my dr about the pain,
He said it's ok to stop. Now I just started again,at present I get a shot only 2x a week. My dr says this is to get used to the pain, which he assumed was daily. dr states pain is caused by the bone growing. Has anyone else been told this. I am in doubt about proceeding. info I have
state bone pain as an adverse effect. If anyone else has this problem please let me know. I cannot take fosomax.
