I take a multivitamin, Krill Oil, Turmeric, Ginger, Magnesium and D-3 in the Winter.

I skip weekends, and do not worry if I miss once in a while.

The 5 supplements I can't live without:

1. Multi (with greens, grasses, chlorella, etc..)

2. Garlic

3. Omega-3

4. Grape seed extract

5. Milk Thistle

Great topic Kind2Creatures!
Hi Fit4LifeDoc, glad you decided to join us here!

The one thing on your list that I don't take is green foods, are you feeling a difference with them? What would you say is the biggest benefit in taking them daily? Thanks in advance for your reply

Kind 2 Creatures,

I'm sorry I missed your post from 5/26....

For a while I was taking a multi called Greens Today (no magnesium stearate ) but honestly I didn't feel much different than the last multi I used to take (I can't remember the name, but it had mag stearate).

I recently started taking a "greens" mixture of barley grass, oat grass, wheat grass, chlorella, and some other healthy "stuff" that I can't recall right now. I have felt better since I started taking it. I consider myself very healthy, but I'll take any extra boost I can get

Thanks for your reply! I'm in my fifties, and could probably use some greens in my diet for an extra health boost, and for more alkalinity in the body. I think I'll start with some chlorella, and go from there. Your input is much appreciated!

Thanks Dan, do you take Krill oil to replace Omega 3 fish oil? Do you find it to be superior than regular fish oils?

You do not need to take as much Krill Oil to get the same amount of Omega 3 as Fish Oil. Krill have almost no chance of accumulating Mercury. Too small.

There is no way 5 supplements are going to be enough.

I take almost 60 different supplements per day, which may seem like alot, but thats down from the 77 I was taking earlier.

Now if I had to choose only five, they would be:

A good whole food multi.

mega vitamin C

Omega 3 (fish oil or krill)

At least 4000 I.U. of D3

Some "super" antioxidant

Astaxanthin

Resveratrol

Grape seed

Berry extract

Beta Glucan

(see, I told you 5 isn't enough)
