Default PROBIOTICS

Two weeks ago the prestigious (in some circles, anyway) Wall Street Journal published a short piece endorsing the use of probiotics. In acknowledgement, Dr. Mercola wrote and posted his own short article which is a very good primer for those new to the subject:

Beach Man,

Do you use Dr. Mercola's probiotics?

I use probiotics regularly but haven't tried his brand.

Thanks!

No, that's one brand I have never tried. However over the years I have tried several others and have found that the best one (also one of the very best for the money) is put out by the Vitamin Shoppe under their own label. It's called Ultimate '10' Probiotic:

I like sauerkraut, if I can find some that hasn't been cooked to death. No. I don't trust making my own.

I found Dr. Ohhira's Probiotics 12 Plus. It contains 6 wild fruits, 2 seaweeds, 2 herbs, and 4 organic acids.

It has 12 lactic acid bacteria, vitamins, minerals and amino acids.

The ingredients are fermented in a natural temperature environment for 3 to 5 years. That's the best part for me.

Sound like an advertisement? I know. I know. Sorry. I just really like them.

For price, and I hope quality, I like Swanson's; and I like their brand of Ultimate probiotic.
