I have managed to find several.

Look for years of experience, general reputation, training.

If hormone imbalance is the cause of the osteoporosis then all the nutrients in the world will not help much. They usually can be found in major cities.

I traveled to India when I was in my 20s. Fascinating country.

Too many snakes. I heard that many families, especially outside of the cities, keep peacocks and peahens to kill the snakes. I heard they even kill cobras. My friend, Senthil, keeps telling me he wants to take me to India to show me that this is not true about too many snakes.

Otherwise, I agree that the method of the Indian healers is well admired throughout the world.

JFH, pack a mongoose in your suitcase.

at a hotel that I stayed at in India, I went down to the open area at the ground level of the hotel, and for entertainment, they had a mongoose and a huge snake (looked like a cobra). The mongoose seemed to be egging the snake on, darting, weaving, with the snake attacking.. but I had read enough about animals to know the mongoose would probably win. you just wouldn't think a little mammal like that could outdo a huge fast snake, but the mongoose is known for this.

I must admit, it was fascinating to watch.. probably the reason "wild kingdom" was a popular series for so many years.

Thank you for this. A mongoose will also turn on its master, often going for the family private jewels if master is male.

We have more than 200 kind of snakes in India, only about 1/3 are venomous.
Spectacled cobra is my favourite, it is called naja naja naja.

Sorry Doc. I would not stick around to find out if one is venomous. They are just too ugly; and they have tiny brains.

I once lived in Hawaii. There are no snakes there except in the zoo. People brought the mongoose in to rid the islands of the brown snake. Little did they know then that it would wipe out every native snake as well. Now it is a pest.

Default Detoxified Iodine!

scorpiotiger,

This is what I received two days ago from Global Light Network. It's made from seaweed:

https://www.globallight.net/Detoxifie...Br-1-2-Oz.html

I haven't used it yet so can't tell you how I feel about it. Like you, I wanted to try something made from seaweed. This is Edgar Cayce's formula. I have a couple of his books. Anyway, check it out, it might be what you need. David Dartez at GLN says that this type is iodine in his opinion is the only product better than Lugol's!

Sally, you have been, as you Americans say, conned.
I can see that the "proprietary process" used to detoxify is a secret.

What you are getting is a low dose of iodine, as non-toxic as any other iodine of medicinal grade and you pay a high price for it.
Hype accompanying the product suggests that honesty is not a priority.

Here is some more info about Detoxified Iodine from the Global Light Network:

https://www.productdescriptions.info/...ineIodine.aspx

Sounds interesting anyway. I'm going to try it. It's on sale for the month of August.
I like the idea that it comes from seaweed. They tested it for arsenic and it is arsenic free.

I would like to know how it's processed, too. Although, I have been ordering products from GLN for almost a year now and I couldn't say why exactly, but I think they are honorable and not trying to deceive anyone. Actually, the first product I bought from them was MMS. They have lots of info on all of their products, and most of them are different than what you can find at other health product websites. I don't think they are trying to "hide" anything to make their products "seem" better than what they actually are. I am not stupid when it comes to different types of iodine, I have read tons of info and have been using it for years. I know there are cheaper possibly better brands/types of iodine, but if anyone is interested, as I am, check it out!

This is from the link above:
Unlike commercially available products, which use iodine bonded with chlorine, we use only naturally occurring iodine derived from organic Asian seaweed, as was specified in the Cayce readings. This pure crystalline iodine is then reduced to a 1% concentration in 100% ethyl alcohol and electro-magnetically transmuted (while being suspended in a wet bath containing a mild acid solution) into the Atomic state. This is the form which Mr. Cayce suggested the body could recognize and fully assimilate, and indeed was his primary contribution to the concept.
