When fruit, or vegetables or algae or any food is turned into a powder, how much nutrition is lost?

There are many factors that go into the question you are asking. If I can answer it, I would say best to stick with the original form. Could cause problems concentrating things.

Lets start with freeze drying. Do most freeze dried foods keep most of the nutrients?

Sounds like fruits do really well in retaining their nutrients when freeze-dried according to ehow.

I just ordered vitamineral green. I don't think all of that stuff is freeze dried, but I do remember Jameth saying they look for suppliers that use a very mild drying process or something like that. I'm curious if that destroys alot of nutrients vs freeze drying.

But that is good to know that freeze drying keeps most of the nutrients in tact.

I have had good luck with green defense by Jarrow. I also recently tried the new Chapter, berry green I think, did not like it.
